At the age of 15, Albani traveled to Albani, New York, where she received vocal training from renowned teacher Antonio Cortesi. It was during this time that she adopted the stage name "Albani," inspired by the Italian city where she had received her musical education.

Over the next several years, Albani embarked on a whirlwind of performances throughout North America and Europe. She became a regular fixture at the Royal Opera House in London, where she sang leading roles in operas by Verdi, Mozart, and Wagner.
