Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, rising sea levels are threatening to displace millions of people. In the coastal village of Bhola, residents are already being forced to abandon their homes.

"We've been living here for generations," said 60-year-old fisherman Mohammad Ali. "But now the water is coming up to our houses. We don't know where we're going to go."

Ali is one of millions of Bangladeshis who are being forced to flee their homes due to climate change. The country is one of the most vulnerable to climate change in the world, and rising sea levels are just one of the threats it faces.

Kenya

In Kenya, drought is causing food shortages and water scarcity. In the northern region of Turkana, herders are losing their livestock to the drought, and families are going hungry.

"We've never seen a drought like this before," said 40-year-old herder Lokiru Ole Lolkwayion. "Our animals are dying, and we have nothing to eat. We don't know how we're going to survive."

Lolkwayion is one of millions of Kenyans who are being affected by the drought. The country is experiencing its worst drought in decades, and the United Nations has warned that it could lead to famine.

United States

In the United States, climate change is causing more extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, floods, and wildfires. In 2017, Hurricane Harvey devastated the city of Houston, Texas, causing billions of dollars in damage.

"We've never seen anything like this before," said 50-year-old Houston resident Maria Rodriguez. "The water came up so fast, we had to evacuate our home in the middle of the night. We lost everything."

Rodriguez is one of millions of Americans who have been affected by climate change. The country is experiencing more extreme weather events than ever before, and the trend is expected to continue.

Climate change is a global crisis that is already having a devastating impact on communities around the world. The stories of people on the frontlines of the crisis show the human toll of climate change and the urgent need for action.

We must act now to reduce emissions and mitigate the worst effects of climate change. The future of our planet and the well-being of generations to come depend on it.
